CrisisCamp(s)

CrisisCommons actively supports CrisisCamp, a barcamp-like event, which seeks to connect a global and local network of volunteers who use creative problem solving and open technologies to help people and communities in times and places of crisis.

CrisisCampers are not only technical folks like coders, programmers, geospatial and visualization ninjas but we are also filled to the brim with super creative and smart folks who can lead teams, manage projects, share information, search the internet, translate languages, know usability, can write a research paper and can help us work to connecting technology and humanitarians into more stronger, resilient communities.

We have work hard in developing tools for CrisisCamps since first created in 2010. We will be working to get these tools updated to more recent times in the following months. If you are looking to host a CrisisCamp, let us know and we can discuss how we could help (connect@crisisscommons.org). We also have a dedicated section on our Discord (more info).
